Tiffany Burkhart is a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who brings experience and a personal touch to her work with children and families. Born in Woodbridge, then raised in Fredericksburg, Tiffany now resides in Caroline County with her family, which includes three stepchildren, a Basset Hound named Bucky (inspired by a Marvel character), and three cats.
Tiffany’s educational path began at Mary Washington, where she originally pursued a degree in English before discovering her passion for psychology while working in daycares. This led her to earn a Bachelor’s in Psychology and later a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Capella University. Now a PhD candidate at Capella, Tiffany’s dissertation focuses on staff support and feedback, aligning with her commitment to helping others thrive.
Tiffany fell in love with ABA because of the honesty and authenticity of the children she works with, particularly the unique population she supports. Her background in finding joy in helping others with different needs began with summers spent in Nebraska with her aunt, who had physical and cognitive differences. During these visits, Tiffany would explore ways to communicate with her aunt and loved the joy her aunt expressed when they understood what she wanted. These meaningful experiences instilled in Tiffany a deep appreciation for the power of communication and genuine connection. She finds her greatest joy in helping parents see their children as perfect just as they are, emphasizing they don’t need to be “fixed,” while empowering them to achieve their full potential.
At Paragon, Tiffany is passionate about training and teaching, sharing her expertise to build a strong foundation for others in the field. She has extensive experience in leadership and trauma-informed care and is currently pursuing certification in this area.
Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys reading fantasy romance novels, exploring her love of music, and working on cars with her husband.
